Native Nifty integrations and what each one does
Nifty PM integrations come in three kinds: native apps switched on inside Nifty, one-way connections built in Zapier, and custom work on the Nifty API. The table lists what Nifty's integrations page and help center say each native app does, as read on 3 October 2026.
| App | Type | What it can trigger or sync |
|---|---|---|
| Slack | Native | Mirror a Slack channel and a project discussion; create tasks, lists, milestones and docs with /nifty commands; post Slack messages from Nifty automations |
| GitHub | Native | Create a task when an issue or pull request opens; complete it when one closes; show commits in task activity; optional two-way sync of labels and comments |
| Google Docs, Drive, Calendar | Native | Create or import Docs, Sheets and Slides in a project; attach Drive files; two-way calendar sync of assigned tasks and events |
| Microsoft | Native | OneDrive uploads, Microsoft 365 docs, Outlook Calendar sync; a Teams bot that creates tasks, statuses, milestones and docs |
| Zoom and Webex | Native | Start a video meeting from a discussion or direct message |
| Harvest | Native | Track time on Nifty tasks with reporting in Harvest |
| Miro | Embed | Embed whiteboards in tasks, docs and project views |
| Typeform | Through Zapier | Turn a form submission into a task in a chosen list |
The help center also has articles for Jira two-way sync, GitLab, HubSpot, Airtable, Clockify, Toggl and Calendly.

See current Nifty plans →Zapier: the route for everything else
For apps without a native connection, Nifty points to Zapier. Its help article describes Zaps as one-way: Nifty can be the trigger app or the app where the result lands, not both in one Zap. Nifty supplies templates under Personal Settings, App Center, Zapier, and you need accounts with both services. The example in the article creates a HubSpot contact when a Nifty task is made.
Zapier has its own plans and task limits, so add that to your cost worksheet. We found no official Nifty listing for Make.
The Nifty PM API: plan, tokens and limits
The Nifty API is available to workspaces on the Business plan and above, per the help center, and the pricing page lists Open API from Business. That means at least $124 a month on flat annual billing, or $16 per member on per-member annual billing (as read on 3 October 2026; see Nifty pricing).
- Versions. A REST API at openapi.niftypm.com. Version 3 is current; version 1.0 is frozen and the developer docs say it stops serving on 1 September 2027.
- Authentication. A personal access token with a Read-only, Full access or Custom preset and an expiry of 30, 60, 90 or 365 days, or OAuth 2.1 for apps other people install.
- Webhooks. Registered through the v3 API, scoped to one workspace, with events such as task.created and task.updated.
- Rate limits. Per token: 3,000 GET requests per 5 minutes, and 200 POST and 200 PATCH requests per minute. The docs say limits are the same on every plan.
Nifty also runs an MCP server so AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT can read and, if you allow it, change workspace content. It is off by default and uses the same scoped tokens.
Setting up the Slack integration, step by step
Nifty's help center gives these steps for Slack, the connection most small teams start with.
- In Slack, open Add apps, search for Nifty and install it.
- Type /nifty in Slack. The app replies in a direct message.
- Log in to Nifty and open the Automations section of a project, or the App Center if you lack access to Automations.
- Find Slack in the integrations sidebar, create a new integration and authorize your Slack account.
- Pick the channel, press Add and choose the direction messages should travel.
Only one person in a channel needs to connect it to a project discussion, but each person who wants to use slash commands or build automations must set up the integration themselves.
Known limits, and what to check afterwards
- Slack channel mirroring is one-way; the help article marks two-way sync as coming soon.
- GitHub activity appears on a task only if the commit or comment includes the task ID with its # sign.
- Google Calendar sync only sends tasks that are assigned to a user. Nifty suggests a separate Google calendar so tasks do not crowd your main one.
- Zapier connections are one-way.
After connecting anything, run one real item through it: create a task from Slack, close a test issue in GitHub, assign a dated task and look for it in the calendar. Then note the integration, its owner and what breaks if that person leaves on your dependency map. An integration tied to one person's login is a handover risk.
