Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerNifty is free for 2 projects and 100 MB. Paid plans start at $10 per member a month billed annually ($16 monthly), or a flat $79 a month annually ($99 monthly) for up to 10 members.

What Nifty costs per month and per year

Nifty PM pricing starts at $0, and the cheapest paid plan is Pro at $10 per member per month billed annually, or $16 per member billed monthly. From seven people up, Nifty steers teams to flat plans: Pro at $79 a month billed annually ($99 billed monthly) for up to 10 members, Business at $124 ($149 monthly) for up to 30, and Unlimited at $399 ($499 monthly) with no member cap. All figures are US dollars as read on 3 October 2026 on Nifty's own pricing page, which says annual billing saves up to 20%.

The page has a team-size selector. It recommends per-member pricing under 7 people, flat Pro for 7 to 10, flat Business for 11 to 30 and Unlimited from 31. An Enterprise tier is quote-only.

Is Nifty free? What the free plan includes

Yes. Nifty's Free plan costs nothing, has no time limit and allows unlimited members. The limits are 2 active projects and 100 MB of storage. It includes tasks, milestones, discussions, docs, files, team chat, portfolios, recurring tasks, task and milestone dependencies, two-factor authentication and Google sign-in.

What it leaves out is everything Nifty calls advanced: time tracking, custom fields, budget tracking, workflow automations, file proofing and cross-project overviews all start on Pro. Two projects is enough to run a real pilot with one handover, but not enough to hold a team's full workload. Paid plans come with a 14-day trial and no card is required.

Which features need Pro, Business or Unlimited

Features each Nifty tier adds, as read on 3 October 2026
TierAdds on top of the tier below
ProTime tracking and reporting, custom fields, budget tracking, workflow automations, file proofing, cross-project overviews, priority support
BusinessGoals, team workloads, custom roles and permissions, automatic check-ins, Microsoft SSO, open API, custom domain
UnlimitedNative forms, custom SAML, white labeling, IP restriction, dedicated success manager

Two placements catch buyers out. The API sits on Business, not Pro, so a team that wants its own integration cannot stay on the cheapest paid tier. Native forms appear only in the Unlimited column, so a small team that needs intake forms should plan on a Zapier form connection instead. The feature guide lists what each one does.

Worked example: 5, 8 and 14 people

These totals are our arithmetic from the listed prices, before tax.

  • 5 people on Pro, per member. Annual billing: 5 x $10 = $50 a month, $600 for the year. Monthly billing: 5 x $16 = $80 a month. You get 250 GB and 25 guest seats.
  • 8 people on flat Pro. $79 a month billed annually ($948 a year) or $99 billed monthly. The price is the same at 7, 8, 9 or 10 members, and storage rises to 500 GB.
  • 14 people on flat Business. $124 a month billed annually ($1,488 a year) or $149 monthly, covering up to 30 members with 1 TB.

The steps matter more than the per-seat rate. Hiring an eleventh person moves a flat Pro team to Business, a $45 a month jump on annual billing. Put your own headcount through the plan cost worksheet before choosing a billing cycle.

Refunds, cancellation and discounts

Nifty's Terms of Use say canceled subscriptions are not refunded, for the latest charge or any earlier one. Plans renew automatically, monthly or annually, so you must cancel before the renewal date. Cancellation is done online in the workspace billing settings; the terms say an email or phone request does not count.

After canceling you keep access until the paid period ends, per the pricing FAQ. The terms also say content is permanently deleted from backups within 30 days, so export your records first. Downgrades take effect at the next cycle with no proration, while the help center says adding or removing licensed users is prorated. Nifty commits to 30 days' email notice before fee changes.

  • Payment: major credit cards; annual plans can be invoiced and paid by check or wire.
  • Discounts: the pricing FAQ offers 50% off Pro and Business to eligible educational institutions and non-profits. A separate answer in the same FAQ also names eligible students, without saying which plans.
